The Castle
Built in 1374, the Castello di Muggia was originally a military fortress defending the town and its harbor. Over the centuries it witnessed many historical changes and, after a long period of abandonment, was gradually brought back to life through careful restoration.
Today the castle is rediscovering its role as a place of culture and gathering. Soon it will be open for guided visits by reservation, as well as cultural and private events, allowing visitors to experience and rediscover its beauty.
